McDuling finishes up at The SMH

McDuling is excited that “a new challenge awaits” but will miss Fairfax papers.
McDuling said that in the past few years in the business editor’s chair, he has managed a team of journalists across two cities serving two different publications.
“I was lucky to be overseeing a remarkable group who stepped up to the plate each and every day, and had very strong support from the editors and management above me,” he said.
“In many ways the last few years have been a dream. I got to work with some of Australia’s most decorated journalists on stories and investigations that had an enormous impact on the country.
